Craig McCord Photography Workshops hosts magnificent opportunity to participate in an exclusive photography even in the flint Hills
Craig McCord and Manhattan Kansas photographer, Jason Soden, in cooperation with the Clover Cliff Ranch and Bed and Breakfast, team up to offer this photographic opportunity exclusively and only to Craig McCord Workshop participants. This photo workshop experience is centered on the spring prairie renewal pasture burns on the Kansas Prairie. Workshop participants will engage in a day of photography on a working 3,0000 acre family cattle ranch in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas. You will enjoy capturing fantastic images photographing as the hills light up as the sun sets and the night falls. The workshop day will include both a day burn and a night burn, with the Clover Cliff Ranch providing an evening cowboy meal as part of your lodging fee. This workshop will be limited to only 15 participants, allowing Craig and Jason to provide close hands-on attention and guidance to assist you in making the most of this photographic event.
Dates: The target dates for the 2016 burns will be March 31st, 2017. If needed, April 1st, will be a makeup day, if required. Due to unforeseen conditions including wind, rain, snow, etc., the ranch may require a burn to be postponed and rescheduled for the makeup day. Should any last minute conditions prevent a burn, Craig and Jason will have alternative photographic opportunities on the ranch or in the Flint Hills area to still offer a valuable workshop experience.
Fee: Workshop fee is $225. The Clover Cliff Ranch will also charge an additional activity fee of $20 when you reserve your lodging. This additional fee covers items unique to the prairie burn activity, including the Saturday night cookout, fire department oversight requirements, additional cowboys to assist with burn management, appetizers and wine, and more.
